No distance is too far with the right supply battery
With our supply batteries you have the possibility to get by without electricity from the land for several days!
For the supply of your electrical devices in your motorhome, our high-quality supplementary batteries are ideal. They provide the necessary energy to supply for example laptops, coffee machine, light and television.
If you are uncertain about the capacity of your caravan/ camper battery when replacing it, your old battery can be helpful.
What you need to know about charging cycles:
What is characteristic of the supply batteries is their ability for cyclical use. A charging cycle is the process of discharging and recharging the battery. The battery can therefore be discharged and recharged several times. However, the number of cycles is important for this. It indicates how often the battery can be discharged and recharged before the capacity decreases.
Which battery do we recommend?
We recommend the use of a deep cycle battery with AGM or gel technology for interior installation.
We have shortly described the technological difference here:
AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat): With AGM batteries, the electrolyte is completely bound in a glass fibre fleece after filling, so these batteries are leak-proof and maintenance-free even if damaged.
Gel: The liquid electrolyte is bound in a gel by adding silicic acid. Gel batteries are characterized by a low self-discharge. Perfect as an energy source on the road.
Advantage: These batteries do not gas inside the motorhome and offer a high installation flexibility due to an installation angle of up to 90 degrees!
As an alternative to our battery recommendation, you can also install a cheaper wet battery. Please note that these batteries emit gas. By using a venting hose you can conduct the gases to the outside. Please close one of the two vent openings of the battery and install the vent hose at the other opening of the battery and lead the vent hose to the outside.
Lithium batteries (LiFePo4 = lithium iron phosphate): Lithium batteries are on everyone's lips because they are light and can be deeply discharged. However, a lithium battery is many times more expensive than a lead battery. If the motorhome is used occasionally, the purchase is probably not profitable.
